WEED REGULATIONS
Sec. 15-16. - Duty to cut weeds.
(a) The owner or person in charge of or controlling real property shall cut weeds on the property at such times as is necessary so that the weeds do not exceed six (6) inches in height.

If the owner or person in charge of or controlling real property refuses or neglects to cut weeds in excess of the applicable height limitation, the village shall be authorized to have its employees or its authorized agent cut the weeds...
Sec. 15-18. - Cost of weed cutting; lien rights.
The owner of the real property on which weeds have been cut by the village or its agent shall be responsible for the payment of all costs incurred by the village. If the owner fails to pay the costs incurred by the village, then the village shall be authorized to record a lien against the property as provided in the Illinois Municipal Code
